Important Festival Information / CONDITIONS OF ENTRY

COVID SAFETY & YOU

We are working with all levels of government to deliver you a safe and memorable event! Just so you are prepared for the event, we will be updating you with information as we progress closer to game day. Please know that the event will have safety measures in place like, but not limited to: Contact Tracing / Social Distancing / Onsite Sanitisation & Hygiene

 COVID-19

If you have tested positive for COVID-19 or if you have cold or flu like symptoms on the day you are due to attend the event, then please do not attend the venue.

CASHLESS BARS

Speedier service, you can spend more time enjoying the festival, our bars will cashless this year.

We CANNOT accept:

– EFTPOS cards without a chip (Swipe only).

CASH BAR – Main Bar Section Only

There will one small section at the main bar which will take cash payments!

…BUT: Longer queue times could be experienced in the limited cash lanes.

The bar in the VIP area will accept CASH + TAP n GO + PAYWAVE

There will be limited ATMs for cash required for Merch, Food, Rides and other retail outlets that may use the folding stuff!

Sustainability is not a buzz word, it’s something we have been doing for years!

CAN DEPOSIT

We will maintain our recycling and can deposit initiative, where you get a $1 back for each vessel cashed in at the Recycle Station. Maximum of 5 cash ins at a time.

THE LAST STRAW

We’ve canned the plastic straw, all straws are recycled biomaterial, like cardboard!

PRAISE YOUR GLASS

All cups are recycled paper, event our wine cups are biodegradable organics-based material!

CONDITIONS OF ENTRY

IMPORTANT FESTIVAL INFORMATION

SCENE & HEARD is a LICENSED 18+ EVENT only. No exceptions.

VALID/CURRENT Photo ID is required:

18 + (Passport, Photo Driver License or Keypass – VIC and TAS / RTA Photo Card – NSW)

Scene&Heard has the right to refuse entry or access to the event to people who:

  • Are clearly under the influence of alcohol, drugs or any other stimulant
  • Are not over the age of 18 years old
  • Have been banned from events before, imposed by either Scene&Heard – Mothership Events or the administrative, legal or police governing bodies
  • Illustrate behavior that intends to disturb public peace or to provoke assault, hatred, rage etc
  • Refuse to declare objects that are considered to be dangerous or off limits by security services
  • Are wearing hi-visibility vests or clothing impersonating event staff, gang related uniforms (including bandanas and jackets) or uniforms that impersonate police, event staff or other emergency service personal.
  • Refuse to complete or produce evident of a Health Declaration or contact tracing check in
  • Refuse to comply with the COVID Safety health management systems of the event

There are strictly NO PASSOUTS.

On request security have the right to ask you to legitimise yourself with further ID requests, contact tracing evidence, health declarations, ticket and vaccine validation processes.

All patrons and staff will be wrist-banded on entry to the event. ANY patrons with no wristband that are on site will be ejected immediately.

No liquids are permitted on site for safety and security reasons. There is free water and sunscreen provided on site at various locations inclusive of First Aid and Crowd Care locations.

No food, alcohol or beverages can be brought onto the site.

The following items are not permitted to be brought on the site by patrons:

Glass, Liquids of any kind (see below), Costume-Gang Related-Costume Masks, headwear or helmets, Cans, Metal Containers + Objects, Flares, Fireworks, Laser Pointers, Knives, Scissors, Glowsticks, Portable Seats/Chairs, Eskies, Alcohol, Umbrellas, Video Recording and Digital Cameras (inc Go Pros), Tape Recorders (not including mobile phones), Weapons/Dangerous Items, Aerosols, Studded Belts, Illicit Drugs, Sporting Equipment, Food and third party promotional material (such as stickers & flyers).

No liquids are permitted on site for security reasons. There is free water and sunscreen provided on site at various locations. This includes perfumes, creams, eye drops, hand sanitizers, vapes, sunscreen etc.

All bags/containers are subject to a full search at entry to ensure the safety of patrons. Certain confiscated items can be collected from the cloakroom via security. Bags over A5 in size are not permitted. Bum bags will be thoroughly searched and slow down your entry, at the gate.

No animals are permitted on site (apart from authorized guide/companion dogs).

No professional recording devices such as video cameras, Go Pro cameras or audio recorders are allowed on site.

Please arrive and depart in an orderly fashion and respect our neighbors, so we can return next year.

You may be filmed at this event for the purposes and use, at the sole discretion of Scene&Heard.

Scene&Heard will not take responsibility or liability for cloaked items or items you bring into the event site.

Where rides are on site, rides will be ridden at patrons own Risk. Scene&Heard accepts no responsibility or liability for this.

Artist Line-up and schedule are subject to change without notice.

All footage taken by patrons on camera, mobile phone or any recording device is subject to Copyright Laws. Scene&Heard and its artists give no permission for filming, photographing or any recordings. Where used in any public medium without written authorization from Scene&Heard, Mothership Events Pty Ltd may prosecute.

Some events are subject to approval from the Liquor Licensing Commission or Office of Liquor and Gaming

Safety

Scene&Heard has a “TOPS ON” policy. Anyone not wearing tops (singlet, t-shirt etc…) will be rejected at the gate and refused service at service points throughout the event. Anyone inside the event not wearing a top will have their wristband removed and will be ejected from the event. Glitter does not constitute an item of clothing.

Patrons will be refused service at any service point unless wearing compliant attire.

Costume & dresswear masks, helmets or headwear covering your entire face / head are NOT PERMITTED.

Health Management face masks will be permitted for medical safety reasons in line with legislation and guidelines of the day.

You will be required to remove your mask to validate ID and age verification requests upon entry to event, bars or at any other times & locations throughout the event.

While wearing a health mask, most of your faces and eyes must always be visible.

OMCG and other Gang related symbols, tattoos, masks, helmets, clothing or uniforms are NOT PERMITTED.

Patrons wearing outfits mimicking state, government or uniformed work wear are NOT PERMITTED.

Dangerous activities will not be tolerated. This includes aggressive moshing, stage diving, crowd surfing, climbing or gang behavior. No intimidating behavior will be tolerated including posturing or “surrounding” patrons. Patrons participating in these activities will be evicted without right to re-entry or refund. The Promoter accepts no liability for any injuries or damages caused by these activities.

Health Safety Measures will always need to be followed and adhered to within all areas of the event.

Failure to comply with these measures, or the directions of safety, health, security, and event personnel will result in eviction without the right of re – entry or refund.

If you feel at any time yours or anyone else’s health or safety is threatened, please contact the nearest security guard, crowd care or first aid personnel. There are always event staff, first aid and crowd care officers on site always who can be contacted by security or police.

In the case of an emergency evacuation or situation, please follow all official directives.

By entering these events and using our Medical facilities you consent to Scene&Heard having access to your medical information.

Ticketing

No 3rd party promotional items including flyers, posters, stickers, wristbands, or tickets are permitted for distribution at the event.

Do not purchase your ticket from outside the venue, from a reseller or from an unauthorised online vendor like Gumtree or Ebay. Only tickets purchased from www.thisthat.com.au, www.mothershipevents.com.au or directly via Scene&Heard Ambassador sales are authorised. Failure to purchase a ticket from an authorised outlet may result in refusal of entry. Tickets must be treated like cash. Tickets are not refundable and will not be replaced or refunded if lost, stolen or damaged, except as required by law & as otherwise specified by Scene&Heard. The sale or re-sale of a ticket by the Ticket Holder (including online auction sites) without the prior consent of Scene&Heard is prohibited. Scene&Heard has an ongoing relationship with the police regarding the falsification of tickets to events. If you suspect you have purchased an invalid ticket, please contact info@oztix.com.au immediately.

All patrons entering the site must have a valid ticket. Patrons on site without a valid event ticket or event accreditation will be ejected immediately. One ticket is only valid for the admission of one person.

Forging a ticket to the event will result in immediate rejection. TT reserves the right to refuse entry if a patron has been previously ejected from one of their events. It is the sole discretion of TT to allow banned patrons to attend future events. TT has the right to pursue legal action if banned patrons continue to attempt to flout their ban. Refunds will not be given for tickets in any case.

For the safety of all patrons, it is a condition of entry that all patrons submit to being contact trace verified or health checked, searched (pat down of persons, metal detection of persons or physical inspections of bags and containers) upon entry and throughout the event. In the event a patron refuses to submit to a search, contract trace verification or health check process:

  • On entry – the patron will be refused entry without a refund,
  • During, and within the confines of the event – the patron may be removed from the event without a refund and be subject to state or federal fines.

POSTPONEMENT

If there are government restrictions in place that inhibit the event progressing in March 2022:

  1. We will not be cancelling the event; we will postpone to the traditional calendar dates in early November 2022.
  2. Your ticket will be transferred & valid for the November 2022 event date planned

In a scenario of event postponement or capacity restrictions where you cannot transfer your ticket you will be entitled to a full refund.

COVID-19

If you have tested positive for COVID-19 or if you have cold or flu like symptoms on the day you are due to attend the event, then please do not attend the venue.

Security, medical and crowd care staff are trained in managing the cultural sensitivities associated with searches and suitable facilities will be provided to conduct searches in a manner that enhances the safety of the event whilst managing the cultural sensitivities associated with these activities. Patrons have the right to refuse a search, contact trace verification or health check, however those that do so acknowledge they will be excluded (through refusal of entry) or removed from the event without refund.

If you believe you have been treated unfairly, or inappropriately, please contact us within two weeks of the events end date with medical, crowd care, security, police, ambulance, or event personnel ID – event staff details.
