How to get there

NEWCASTLE BUSES AND FERRIES

Regular buses and ferries to and from Newcastle will be running throughout the day. For routes, timetables and trip planning tools, visit https://transportnsw.info/events

TRAINS

Due to planned weekend trackwork on the Central Coast & Newcastle Line and Hunter Line buses will be replacing trains so allow extra travel time and plan ahead.

Extra replacement buses will run every approximately every 10 to 15 minutes to help you get to and from the festival, plan your trip using the Transport for NSW Trip Planner.

Taxi Services

A taxi rank will be provided adjacent to the Wickham Interchange on Railway Street where private vehicles can drop off and pickup from before, during and after the event. It will be serviced by Newcastle Taxis and managed by traffic controller /security to ensure pedestrian safety and orderly set down / pickups. Newcastle Taxis are aware of peak ingress and egress times for the event.

There is a main public car park area located near to the event site precinct. The Event Car Park will be:

Local Traffic, Road Closures and Access Management

Albert Street from the Pacific highway to Railway Street will be under controlled access points, where local traffic will not be granted access. Approved event vehicles will be granted access via presentation of approved event identification.

Taxi and set down areas are located within this region to remove vehicular congestion from immediate proximity of the event site precinct. The taxi and public set down area is within the area precinct surrounding the event site.

Only accredited event vehicles, event busses and taxis will be permitted into the event precinct.
